The stock market in Norway

As I wrote earlier, I started in December. What I have done so far?
I like to brag, so lets start with my success. Oslo stock exchange has been going straight up since October, and it shows no sign of stopping now. I dont think stocks are the best way to get rich, as I want to focus on assets that gives me a cashflow every month. But its hard to resist quick capital gain.I have invested about $800 in the Norwegian stock market so far.

$500 in a company named Tomra. They produce machines that makes recycling of bottles much easier. So far they are up 10%

$300 in a company named Funcom. They have just released the game The Longest Journey, and I think it will be a huge success. Late 2006, Funcom will release a game called Age of Conan, and I think that will be a huge success. The stock with multiply many times if Age of Conan become as popular as World of Warcraft. They are up 6% since I bought my shares. I placed an additional order for $400 in Funcom today as I expect the stock to go more up.

My Internet business

This has not been a success yet.

In December, I started an affiliate webshop where I sell clothes with my own designs. It was a no money down deal, and I get a provision for every sale I make. Its now april and I have had one sale with a provision of € 88 Euros (about $ 95). The order was cancelled, so I have earned $ 0,00 so far.

February.
Frustration. I hadnt made a single cent, but I read stories about other people who claimed that have had huge success. I got really tired of not making anything, so I created a page where I claim to be really rich. Its not that I am scamming people, I am not selling anything. I just pray that someone will be tempted to click on my ads. They have clicked for $ 7.01 so far, the domain name costed me $ 8,95 so this will be a winner.

In March, I started another webshop where I sell ringtones for cell phones. This one is also an affiliate shop, provided by Mediaplazza. It is a no money down deal where I get paid pr sale. I thought this would be very profitable since everyone wants the latest ringtone, but I have only made a single euro so far. It may have something to do with the fact that only 20 people have visited it.

In April, I started my last affiliate shop. This is an online pharmacy that sells prescription drugs over the internet. Like the two other shops I run, I just market and sell for someone else, and they pay me a provision of every sale. Money made so far: $ 0.00

My Internet business is not doing good, but I hope it will change soon.

Where I am heading

If you read the post below, you know where I came from. My dream is to get rich, really rich. You probably know how slim my chances are. Will the job after graduation pay me enough to become a millionaire?.

In December 2005, I realized something very important. How many employees are actually millionaires? If I followed the main stream and worked hard, would that make me rich? The answer to my questions where NO. Both my parents studied hard and graduated with good grades. They have worked hard their entire life, but have nothing else than their house (which has a huge mortage) to show for it. Why would I get a different result if I did the exact same thing as them? I had to do something different.

I spent about a day thinking before I realized that what I need to become rich was not a high paying job. I need passive income, money that comes into my pocket no matter what I do.

This is my quest, this is what I am working for. I will spend my next years to build up my asset column. Instead of buying the next computer game, or instead of going to the movies, I will take that money and invest it. It may be in stocks, real estate, it may be in a website, or whatever I think that will put money back into my pocket. I may go bankrupt by doing this, but I will take that risk. What I do promise, is that I will do my very best, and I will blog about every step I take. If I succeed and become a millionaire you will know exactly how I did it. If I fail, you will know what you shoudnt do.

Will I ever be able to sail the Mediterranean in a private yacht? I am freezing in Norway at the moment.

Where I came from

Since the day I was born, I always wanted to be rich. My parents told me to go to school, work hard and get good grades. Then I would get a secure job with a high salary, and my dream would come true. I was a slacker at school and didn’t get any good grades. In fact, I had the lowest grades in my entire class. The doors that once where open, where now closed by my own laziness.

After serving my mandatory military service in the Norwegian navy, I got a job as a taxi driver. It was long hours and my paycheck was low. I could see myself living in a lousy apartment with a low-paying job for the rest of my life. I envied the rich, and I wanted more money. I wanted to be financially free.

In 2004, I was accepted at a private school that teaches computer (3D Animation). It costs about $ 11000,00 pr year. I needed a government student loan to pay for this education, but I will receive a bachelor degree if I graduate.
